Schiava ‘Pfeffersburger’ red wine, 750 ml

Grape variety: Schiava
The steep slopes of Santa Maddalena, the growing area of the ‘Pfeffersburger’ Schiava, are just outside Bolzano. The vines are rooted in gravelly and well-aerated porphyry soils. The Mediterranean climate is characterised by hot summers and mild winters. The grapes are harvested by hand. After destemming, the must ferments in steel tanks with gentle maceration. followed by acid reduction and maturation for 7 months in 80 hl wooden barrels.
Colour: bright ruby red with copper reflections
Smell: fresh, notes of undergrowth, blackberry, blueberry and pepper
Taste: fresh, juicy, light almond aroma in the finish
