The grapes grow on slopes between 250 and 500 meters above sea level in the St. Magdalener region above Bolzano and ripen into a medium-bodied red wine with fruity and floral notes that pairs well with many South Tyrolean and Italian dishes. Huck am Bach is characterized by its deep ruby ​​red color, its aroma is floral with violets and roses, fruity with red cherries and raspberries, and a typical bitter almond and marzipan flavor. The flavor is full-bodied and velvety, with a persistent finish. Pairs well with meat dishes such as carne salada and tagliatelle with game ragù, smoked meats, dumplings, speck, pizza, pasta, and hard cheeses
