Santa Maddalena ‘Rieser’ red wine, 750 ml

Grape varieties: 90% Schiava, 10% Lagrein
The steep slopes of St. Magdalena, the growing area of the "Rieser" Santa Maddalena, are located near Bolzano. The vines are rooted in gravelly and well-aerated porphyry soils. The Mediterranean climate is characterised by hot summers and mild winters. The grapes are harvested by hand. After destemming, the must ferments in steel tanks with gentle maceration, followed by acid reduction and maturation for 7 months in 80 hl wooden barrels.

Smell: cherry, redcurrant, raspberry
Taste: fresh, juicy, light almond aroma in the finish
