Lagrein ‘Sand’ red wine, 750 ml

The vineyards of the ‘Sand’ Lagrein are located in Gries near Bolzano. The sandy, porphyry-strewn alluvial soils are enclosed by the Bolzano basin, which serves as a heat reservoir in summer. The Mediterranean climate is characterised by the typical warmth of the south and very hot summers. The grapes are harvested by hand. After destemming, the must ferments in steel tanks with gentle maceration, followed by acid reduction and maturation for 7 months in 40 hl wooden barrels.

Smell: ripe cherries, blackberry, pepper, light liquorice note in the finish
Taste: deep, fresh, silky tannins, notes of balsamic vinegar
