Ulten valley ‘Schüttelbrot’ handmade crispy rye flat-bread, 200 g

The hand-shaked Schüttelbrot from Ultental is a traditional, crispy South Tyrolean bread pastry that is part of the basic equipment of an authentic snack. The name “Schüttelbrot” derives from the production method in which the bread dough is shaken flat on a wooden board before it is baked. This causes typical cracks and intentional breakages in the bread.
Made from organic rye and wheat flour, refined with the characteristic South Tyrolean bread clover spice (trigonella or gypsy herb), the Schüttelbrot is crisp and has a long shelf life.
Schüttelbrot is always broken into pieces before consumption and eaten as a side dish to various dishes, especially bacon and cheese.
Rye flour Type 997 (90%), Wheat flour Type 550, Wheat bran, yeast, fennel seeds, rock salt, bread clover from controlled organic cultivation
