Sauvignon ‘Mantele’ white wine, 750 ml
Grape variety: Sauvignon Blanc
The vineyards are located in Nalles between 330 and 400 m a.s.l. with an east-southeast orientation. The soil is a 150 m deep scree cone of the Sirmian and Nalles brooks and is made up of 70% limestone gravel and 30% porphyry gravel. The distinctive continental to sub-Mediterranean climate is noticeable in the warm days and cool nights with temperature fluctuations of up to 20 degrees caused by fall winds. The grapes are harvested by hand. After a short maceration period, the clarified must ferments for approx. 3 weeks in 12 hl and 30 hl wooden barrels. Afterwards, the young wine matures for another 8 months on the fine lees.
Colour: intense straw yellow with green reflections.
Smell: gooseberry, citrus fruits, lemon zest, pepper
Taste: crisp, aromatic, salty, structured acidity
