History
Moser Speck OHG was founded in 1974 by the brothers Adolf and Walter Moser in Plaus. At that time, Walter Moser worked in the accounting department of a large industrial company, while Adolf Moser was a Master Butcher in the food sector. They decided to pool their skills and experience, and the Moser Company was born. Today, both brothers are still active in the company as presidents. The founders' sons, Peter and Andreas Moser, are in charge of business operations.
The following chronology summarizes the company's dynamic development in the previous decades.
1974 Foundation of Moser Speck OHG in Plaus, Vinschgau/Venosta, South Tyrol, by the brothers Adolf and Walter Moser.
1980 The company is one of the first manufacturers to receive the right to use the "South Tyrol" trademark for the production of South Tyrolean bacon (Protected Geographical Designation).
1993 Expansion and modernization of the operations in Naturns/Naturno.
1995 Expansion and modernization of the operations in Plaus.
1996 Both factories receive their E.U. numbers: EU No. S - 1637 for the plant in Plaus and EU No. L - 1034 for the plant in Naturns/Naturno.
1997 Certification of the Quality Management System according to ISO 9001 by the ÖQS.
1998 Reinhold Messner appears in advertisements for Moser.
1999 Conversion of the company's form of business and change of the company name to Moser GmbH.
July 2001 Acquisition of Plauser Speck GmbH. The company employs 25 workers.
April 2002 Certification of the QMS of Plauser Speck GmbH as per EN ISO 9001:2000.
July 2002 Plauser Speck GmbH is renamed Tirolinger GmbH.
Dicember 2002 Certification of the QMS of Moser GmbH as per EN ISO 9001:2000.
July 2003 Moser GmbH and Tirolinger GmbH both receive Environmental Certification in accordance with ISO 14001.
Dicember 2004 Certification in accordance with the IFC at a higher level (at the same time as the BRC- Standard).
June 2005 30th Anniversary of Moser Speck in Plaus.
